This track takes you from a single packet's journey to the protocols that move the whole world's traffic, then shows you exactly where defenders draw their lines and where intruders slip through.
What you'll be able to do
- ▸ Trace a packet end to end — from your NIC through routers, ISPs, and autonomous systems to a server on another continent.
- ▸ Map any network problem or protocol to the OSI and TCP/IP layers and troubleshoot it methodically.
- ▸ Explain DNS resolution in detail and recognize cache poisoning, DGA malware, and DNS-based DDoS in the wild.
- ▸ Read HTTP requests, responses, status codes, and security headers like a practitioner, and explain what TLS actually guarantees.
- ▸ Design layered network defenses using firewalls, segmentation, NAT, DMZs, and IDS/IPS.
- ▸ Assess Wi-Fi and wireless risk across WEP through WPA3, and name the attacks that break each one.
